Searching for E-Journals by title

You can search for eJournal titles in two ways:

Advanced Search in the Becker Catalog

Enter search terms (keywords, title words, author, etc.) and limit the location to "An Electronic Resource" or limit the Material Type to "Electronic Resource" to view only eBooks and eJournals.

E-Journals search

Search by titles or ISSNs. Also available are a browse by Medical Subject Heading. Note: Use the Advanced Search method described above if you need to search by keywords or author.

CINAHL
CINAHL Plus provides indexing for 3,123 journals from the fields of nursing and allied health, with indexing back to 1937. In addition, this database offers access to health care books, nursing dissertations, selected conference proceedings, standards of practice, educational software, audiovisuals and book chapters, as well as Evidence-Based Care Sheets. Searchable cited references for more than 1,190 journals are also included. Full text material includes nearly 80 journals plus legal cases, clinical innovations, critical paths, drug records, research instruments and clinical trials. Embase This link opens in a new window
Embase is a up-to-date database covering international biomedical literature from 1947 to the present day and contains over 32 million indexed records, more than 8,500 currently indexed peer-reviewed journals, and over two million conference abstracts.

Google Scholar
Google Scholar is a publicly available resource of scholarly literature including citations/abstracts to peer-reviewed journal articles, dissertations, books, patents and conference abstracts from academic publishers, professional societies, preprint repositories, universities and other scholarly organizations.

Google Scholar is freely available; however, all the content it points to is not. If you are on a campus network or access Google Scholar through our site while logged in to our proxy, you will automatically see links to full text from our libraries.
MEDLINE - Ovid
The MEDLINE database contains bibliographic citations and author abstracts from more than 4,600 biomedical journals published in the United States and in 70 other countries. The database contains well over 12 million citations dating back to the mid-1960's, including more than 130,000 population-related journal citations that were added to MEDLINE in October of 2002. Although coverage is worldwide, most records are derived from English-language sources or have English abstracts. The export of record is limited to 4,000 records at a time. Use the Range box to specify a range of records to export.
PubMed
PubMed is a free resource supporting the search and retrieval of biomedical and life sciences literature with the aim of improving health–both globally and personally. Citations in PubMed primarily stem from the biomedicine and health fields, and related disciplines such as life sciences, behavioral sciences, chemical sciences, and bioengineering.

The PubMed database contains more than 36 million citations and abstracts of biomedical literature. It does not include full text journal articles; however, links to the full text are often present when available from other sources, such as the publisher's website or PubMed Central (PMC). To see and use the Get it@Becker button to test for full text at Becker, use PubMed links from the Library's website.

PubMed facilitates searching across several NLM literature resources: MEDLINE, PubMed Central (PMC) and Bookshelf.
SCOPUS
SCOPUS is a large bibliographic database of scientific, technical, medical and social sciences literature and includes abstracts to conference proceedings, trade publications, books and patents.
Web of Science Core Collection
The Web of Science Core Collection searches the Science Citation Index, Social Sciences Citation Index, the Arts & Humanities Citation Index and the Emerging Sources Citation Index (covers 5 years ago – present).
