Designing Search Strategies for Systematic Reviews: Librarian Workshop: Instructor Bios

Michelle Doering

Michelle Doering, MLS
Michelle is a medical librarian at Becker Medical Library and serves the physicians, students, and hospital staff of the WUSM community. She has completed over one hundred search strategies for systematic reviews. She has taught classes on finding evidence to support EBM, library resources, and an introductory search strategy class for graduate students conducting systematic reviews. Michelle has a very unique mixed breed dog, a Snuggleupagus Terrier.

Lauren Yaeger

Lauren Yaeger, MA, MLIS

Lauren Yaeger is a seasoned clinical librarian supporting systematic reviews, teaching/course planning, and literature searching.  She has a Masters of Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois and a Masters of Arts in English Literature from Saint Louis University and spent over 8 years as the point of care clinical librarian at St. Louis Children’s Hospital where she was embedded in clinical rounds, ethics, UBJPTs, journal clubs, and the residency program and working on systematic reviews. She is passionate about Embase, instructional design, working with research teams, systematic reviews, and EBP! 

Angela Hardi

Angela Hardi, MLIS, AHIP
Angela is a clinical resources librarian at Becker Medical Library. She has created search strategies for dozens of systematic reviews and has received co-authorship for published systematic reviews in journals like Urology and the British Journal of Ophthalmology. Angela’s professional interests include education technology, assessment, instructional design, medical education/curriculum, systematic reviews, and global health.
