Evidence-based practice (EBP) skills are required of occupational therapists to inform and justify clinical decision making by the conscientious, explicit and judicious use of current evidence.
Six Steps:
- formulating a clinical question
- searching for the best available evidence
- critically evaluating the evidence for usefulness
- integrating the evidence with personal clinical expertise and the client's preferences
- evaluate outcomes of actions
