Health Statistics

CDC WONDER (Wide-ranging Online Data for Epidemiologic Research) is an easy-to-use, menu-driven system that makes the information resources of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) available to public health professionals and the public at large. It provides access to a wide array of public health information.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services provides data they have collected to inform policy-making decisions and covers topics such as Alzheimer's, early childhood development, incarceration and re-entry, opioids, Patient-Centered Outcomes, poverty, teen pregnancy, homelessness, and research on the Affordable Care Act.

This site from CDC.gov provides quick access to statistics on topics of public health importance and is organized alphabetically.

The Statistical Abstracts of the United States database provide an easy interface to search for statistics from across various U.S. departments and research bodies. This resource is provided by Olin Library.

The Research Pods at Becker Library provide WUSM researchers and their staff with access to specialized software tools. The computers are located on the first floor of the library and provide the following programs:
