Systematic Review Guide

Endnote

Endnote is a citation management software program. It allows you to organize a large number of citations and has useful features like full text retrieval and a "cite while you write" plug-in for Word. It  is also the software we use most commonly for sending systematic review citations. Washington University does not have institution-wide access to Endnote, but it can purchased at a reduced rate (see link below). Endnote is also available to use for free in Becker Library on the research pod computers.

Research Pod Computer Software

Research Pod computers in Becker Library have statistical analysis and other types of software that might be useful to you for your systematic reviews:

  • Endnote
  • GraphPad Prism
  • Mathematica
  • PyMOL
  • SAS
  • SPSS

Screening & Data Extraction Software

The following resources can be used during the screening and data extraction phases of your systematic review project. Please note that most of these have a software subscription fee. Many of the functions provided by these software products can be replicated using Endnote, Excel, and statistical analysis software.
